As part of the City of Duluth’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, it has created an Energy Team in its Administration Department. The Energy Team’s role is to follow the city’s Energy Plan to move the city towards greater resiliency and sustainability through increasing renewable energy, improving building efficiency, and working with local utilities to find greater energy efficiency and clean energy solutions.
The Energy website includes information on Duluth’s Energy Plan, the city’s energy usage, programs the city is involved with such as Climate-Smart Municipalities and Green Step Cities, the Energy Plan Commission, and more.
