Earth Week 2026 Was a Success!

Each year, we host Earth Week, a week of engaging and impactful events for the community to celebrate nature and encourage a healthy community. Earth Week is built on our tradition of growing our favorite events and expanding our reach with new events. For our sixth annual Earth Week, we hosted eight events and were able to reach more people than ever before. Here’s a look at what we did this year.

Sip & Support

Sip & Support was an incredible evening with local brews, community connection, and friendly competition over our silent auction items. Every dollar raised goes directly toward expanding our Urban Farm’s capacity, allowing us to grow more fresh produce and provide hands-on agricultural education for the community. Thank you to all of our attendees, silent auction donors, and our beverage and food vendors for helping us create a fun atmosphere for our event. With the generosity of our community, we can purchase more seeds and equipment for harvesting and transporting our fresh produce to LNPK Grocery.

Lincoln Park Cleanup

The Lincoln Park Cleanup is a flagship staple of our Earth Week. This year, we reached an even wider area than before, from the Wheeler Athletic Complex to the Lincoln Park Solar Garden. Even though the day was chilly, 300 volunteers braved the cold to work together to clear more than 3,800 pounds of litter. Thank you to our Lincoln Park partners and neighbors who helped make this event possible!

Duluth EcoFest

Over 450 community members joined us for our fourth annual Duluth EcoFest, our biggest EcoFest to date! Guests had the opportunity to connect with 34 vendors on a wide variety of topics and issues related to sustainability: food systems, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and more! Thank you to our vendors and guests for making this growing event the success it was!

Book Swap at EcoFest

Our Book Swap was a certified page-turner! It was incredible to watch our community sustainably renew their bookcase. A massive shoutout to our friends at Zenith Bookstore for collaborating with us on this event. The impact didn’t stop when EcoFest ended. To ensure every book found a purpose, we’ve donated all remaining titles to two local organizations: the Damiano Center and the Duluth Public Library. Thank you to everyone who dropped off a favorite read or picked up a new one. You helped us keep thousands of pages out of the landfill and in the hands of readers!

Age-Friendly, Energy Smart Homes

Our Age-Friendly, Energy-Smart Homes Luncheon was a fantastic success! We enjoyed a productive afternoon collaborating with Duluth Age Friendly and Lake Superior Area Realtors to discuss how to make Duluth homes more efficient and comfortable for everyone. Urban Farm Tours

Our Urban Farm Tours showed how we are bridging the gap in food access and creating intergenerational connections through soil and seeds. The season is just getting started! We invite you to grow with us by attending our upcoming free workshops held throughout the summer. View the full schedule and learn more!

LNPK Grocery Open House

The energy at LNPK Grocery was incredible! We were absolutely thrilled to welcome over 80 community members to our open house for the upcoming LNPK Grocery. Seeing so many neighbors tour the space, check out our shelves, and give feedback made one thing clear: this store is more than just a place to buy food; it’s a milestone for the Lincoln Park community. We are more motivated than ever to get those doors open and bring fresh, accessible food to the heart of Lincoln Park! If you have more recommendations, fill out our LNPK Grocery Wishlist.

Sara Thomsen and Peter Mayer Concert

We wrapped up  Earth Week on a high note at the Sacred Heart Music Center. Over 130 attendees showed up to celebrate with Sara Thomsen and Peter Mayer, making it a packed house for the planet! Thank you to everyone who grabbed a ticket. A portion of those proceeds has been donated to Ecolibrium3 to keep our local sustainability work going.

Eco3 Earth Week would not be possible without the collaboration of our partners, the help of volunteers, and the support of our sponsors. We are so grateful for the generosity of our community! Thank you all for helping us celebrate the planet and advance sustainability. Every connection made during Earth Week helps us continue our work throughout the year.
