LNPK Grocery Open House Highlights and Next Steps
Our LNPK Grocery Open House was a success! We want to give thanks to everyone who stopped in to support the grocery store and help shape what will be going on the shelves! Along with all the great suggestions, we got some questions as well. The biggest being: When are you opening? In order to open, we have to be granted some final permits and certifications

Learning Is for Everyone
At Eco3, we talk a lot about building equitable, sustainable communities. What that actually looks like in practice is people, neighbors, volunteers, students, retirees, and people of all ages coming together to learn, grow, and build a welcoming and inclusive community for all ages. That idea is at the heart of something bigger happening right here in Duluth.

Earth Week 2026 Was a Success!
Each year, we host Earth Week, a week of engaging and impactful events for the community to celebrate nature and encourage a healthy community. Earth Week is built on our tradition of growing our favorite events and expanding our reach with new events. For our sixth annual Earth Week, we hosted eight events and were able to reach more people than ever before.

Energy Program Helps Resident Make Home Healthier and Efficient
Recently, we were able to offer our full services, including an energy assessment and two rounds of weatherization, all completely for free for one local resident. In addition, this resident took other upgrades into her own hands and replaced old knob and tube wiring, and successfully got vermiculite removed from her attic after our team identified and collected the samples of the hazard.

Sowing Seeds and Smiles: Spring at the Urban Farm
Spring at the Eco3 Urban Farm is a busy time of year. Each week brings more time spent on the farm and new tasks to help us launch into the growing season. The last few weeks, we have spent time on projects such as pruning our perennial fruit bushes, making progress on infrastructure improvements, and the always delightful task of weed management.

LNPK Grocery: Nearing the Construction Finish Line
LNPK Grocery store construction has almost reached the finish line! We’re happy to say we’ve wrapped up most of the construction projects and started post-construction cleanup.

AmeriCorps Week 2026
Each year during the second week of March, we honor the commitment of the millions of people who have served in AmeriCorps, the federal service program that creates opportunities to serve communities across the United States. Members of all ages and backgrounds serve directly with local community organizations to tackle pressing issues like poverty, community development, and more.

Social Connection as We Age: A Foundation for Age-Friendly Communities
Social connection is a universal human need—we are wired for belonging at every age. Yet, as we age, staying socially connected can become more difficult. Changes in health or mobility, the loss of loved ones, retirement, transportation barriers, and winter weather can all limit opportunities to connect.

Winter Around the Urban Farm
While the farm fields rest during the winter months, our farm crew has stayed busy, preparing for the upcoming growing season. Winter is a critical time for maintaining infrastructure and planning for the upcoming season, and we have been busy building shelves, buying seeds, and completing critical steps to ensure our farm blossoms this growing season.

New Food Corps Positions Available!
We’re happy to officially announce the launch of our third AmeriCorps program at Ecolibrium3! On top of our existing AmeriCorps VISTA and Energy Training Corps programs, we’re adding the Ecolibrium3 Food Corps to help us tackle food insecurity in our region.

New Staff Feature: Bella
Ecolibrium3 is pleased to welcome a new staff member, Bella Pike. Bella, a former Energy Training Corps member, will continue her work at Ecolibrium3 as Program Specialist: Community Partnerships and Program Development.
