About the Energy Training Corps
This AmeriCorps program equips members with robust training and energy industry certifications. Members will gain valuable energy industry experience to prepare them for careers in this growing field.
By the end of their service, members will be well-positioned to step into full time employment as energy auditors and weatherization technicians. They will also have building science knowledge needed to enter the HVAC or solar fields.
Our Goals
- Train members annually in home weatherization, energy efficiency protocols, and accredited certifications needed to enter the energy efficiency industry
- Complete work that improves the efficiency of local housing stock and reduces utility costs for residents
- Improve the energy efficiency of 750 residences across Duluth over 3 years, reducing resident utility costs
- Form an Energy Training Center to support training, store vehicles and supplies, and welcome residents

Energy Training Corps – Summer Crew Member
Join the Ecolibrium3 Energy Training Corps this summer for a paid training opportunity through AmeriCorps! As a Summer Crew Member, you will gain hands-on experience in the growing residential energy sector. You will learn the core concepts of building science, how to perform home upgrades, and sharpen program development skills. Your service will prepare you for a career as a home energy professional, while improving local housing stock and community health. Members in this position serve from June to September.
Energy Training Corps – Energy Navigation and Education Assistant
Join the Ecolibrium3 Energy Training Corps for this paid service opportunity! This position will assist households in accessing crucial energy efficiency services and streamline program processes for staff and participants. Primary responsibilities center around Ecolibrium3 Energy Program client support and management. Applicants interested in case management, customer service, and energy efficiency are strongly encouraged to apply! Members in this position serve from April to November.
