Eco3 Urban Farm
Producing fresh food and serving as a space for education and community building.
About the Farm
The Eco3 Urban Farm is a two-acre site located on the Lake Superior College campus. The farm features two 2,400 square foot high tunnels, perennial fruit, raised beds, and developed fields. It is part of the sustainable food systems program at Ecolibrium3. The Eco3 Urban Farm provides opportunities for social connectedness among community members, students, and growers. It produces fresh food for local organizations serving those struggling with food insecurity, and serves as a space for education and community-building.
Our Goal
The Eco3 Urban Farm strives to provide agricultural education, community building, and increased food access to our Lincoln Park and Duluth community.

Ending the 2025 Season at the Eco3 Urban Farm
Fall marks the end of another great season at the Eco3 Urban Farm. As the team works to clear fields, compost the last remnants of produce in the ground, and tend to tools before frost settles in and snow follows, we can now appreciate everything the farm crew accomplished this summer.

Solving a Thorny Problem
This fall, with the help of volunteers, the Ecolibrium3 Urban Farm team took steps to address the thorny problem of invasive buckthorn on the farm. Common Buckthorn and Glossy Buckthorn are two plants not native to Northern Minnesota that have traits that allow them to take over ecosystems if left unchecked.

Sharing Abundance at the Summer Sampler
The Eco3 Farm Summer Sampler was held on August 23rd at the Eco3 Urban Farm. This was the farm’s biggest event of the season, an opportunity to invite community members to witness the abundance of the farm.
