The Eco3 Urban Farm is open for the season! The recent rain and warmer temperatures are kick-starting growth at the Farm, and we can’t wait to share it with all of you. In fact, we are so excited for spring that we started our Saturdays at the Farm series a month early!
Saturdays at the Farm is an event series with hands-on activities, volunteer opportunities, and learning opportunities for all ages. In 2023, Saturdays at the Farm brought hundreds of visitors to enjoy fresh produce, games, and classes; we are thrilled to be starting the series again for 2024!
To participate, come to the Eco3 Urban Farm any Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The Farm is located on the campus of Lake Superior College, at 2101 Trinity Road; just look for the blue signs! If you use Google Maps, you can find us by searching “Ecolibrium3 Urban Farm.”
Throughout the spring and summer, we will be hosting different workshops and activities during Saturdays at the Farm. To see what our programming will be for the upcoming weekend, check our social media or ecolibrium3.org/farm-events.
If you are interested in volunteering with Ecolibrium3, Saturdays at the Farm is the best place to start! You can meet the crew, familiarize yourself with the property, and help with projects. Volunteers and visitors are always encouraged to take home as much fresh produce as they like! This is also a great way to learn about farming and get tips for your home garden.
Visitors are encouraged to bring sun protection, water bottles, closed-toed shoes, and snacks. Other equipment, including gardening gloves, is available to borrow. See you at the Farm!
