While runners migrate to Grandma’s Marathon, a flamboyance of flamingos approaches the Lincoln Park Craft District. It’s Flamingo Fest 2024, and the Lincoln Park Craft District is going PINK!
Flamingo Fest is the annual Fully Fabulous Neighborhood Glam Challenge, featuring music, prizes, and decorations throughout the district. This fun summertime promotion brings birds of a feather to flock together in our neck of the woods. There are three ways to participate:
- Stretch your legs touring the neighborhood in search of the elusive flamingos. When you find a flamingo at a participating business, take a picture and post it on the Flamingo Fest event page. Each sighting becomes an entry into the prize drawing.
- While you’re at the Flamingo Fest event page, be sure to vote for the finest-feathered business. Whoever lines their nest the best will be honored with the Flamboyant Flamingo Trophy to proudly display until next summer!
3. Shake your tail feathers and primp your plumage at Bent Paddle’s Flamingo Fest day on June 22! This family-friendly event runs from noon to 11:00 p.m., with live music from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and a costume contest with prizes.
