The Main Street Lincoln Park program at Ecolibrium3 covers a lot of ground for our neighborhood businesses, from problem-solving trash and parking issues to advocating for trees to contacting our law enforcement and elected officials about neighborhood goings-on. But the big news during holiday time is Promotions.
Of the Main Street Four Points, Promotion is probably the one our businesses have top-of-mind, particularly as they navigate through pandemic-related impacts to their businesses. Pandemic or no, the holidays are around the corner and Main Street Lincoln Park has a few things cooking to give a solid assist to our small businesses. With your mask on your mouth and nose and your shopping list in hand, get ready for a taste of what we have in store.
This year, we are offering businesses ways they can encourage shoppers to our district. We’re kicking off Lincoln Park holiday cheer to coincide with the light-up of Bentleyville on November 21st. Since this fan-favorite light display will be drive-through this year, Lincoln Park businesses are being encouraged to beef up their window displays, including lots of lights, then register with the Christmas Lighting Challenge. This free promotion will literally put their business on the map that folk’s reference when they want to “take a drive to see some lights”. Lucky for us, Lincoln Park is just a short, five-minute drive from Bentleyville. And to gild the lily, we’re going to hold our own Light Up Lincoln Park competition amongst our businesses, judged by the Main Street Design and Promotions Committee members.
With lights in place, our businesses will be ready for Small Business Saturday on November 28th. Main Street Lincoln Park and Northland SBDC are Lincoln Park neighborhood champions, making sure our businesses have #ShopSmall swag in place for eager shoppers.
We’re also getting businesses who accept the Main Street LNPK egift cards signed up to participate in Main Street LNPK BINGO! This brand-new promotion will help bring awareness to our neighborhood gift card and encourage shoppers to visit a variety of our neighborhood businesses. A limited run of 2000 LNPK BINGO! cards will be available at participating businesses starting on Small Business Saturday. Shoppers can pick one up and start collecting stamps until they have BINGO! Turning in a completed card will gain them a $5 Main Street LNPK gift card and a chance to win more at a drawing to be held the first week in January. Bonus: Participating vendors will be offering deals to shoppers who use a Main Street LNPK egift card to pay for all or part their purchase. This promotion will run from November 29 – December 25th.
