Twelve businesses competed this Halloween season for the coveted Lights ON! trophy to prove they have the brightest and most creative building front display in Lincoln Park. After much deliberation, the Duluth Children’s Museum was crowned the winner of the 2022 Lights ON! For Halloween Competition! The design was inspired by the Boo!seum event flyer that was designed by Lauryn Casady and was painted by Laurel Sanders and Sarah Brown, all of whom are staff members at the Museum.

The Lights ON! competition was started last year as part of the Main Street Lincoln Park program, which supports local businesses through neighborhood-wide promotional activities and coordinating communications within the area and the city. The competition encourages businesses to rethink their building fronts during the holidays in a fun and friendly way to add a festive atmosphere, showcase their business, and light up the area for a more inviting and safer environment, especially since the days are growing shorter.

This season’s competition is part of the Hobgoblins in Lincoln Park event, Main Street Lincoln Park’s month-long Halloween and Fall themed promotional event.

Thank you to Stewart’s Bikes Sports & Trophies for designing and building the trophy and congratulations to the Duluth Children’s Museum!
