Lincoln Park, a neighborhood in Duluth, MN, is home to over 6,000 residents, a vibrant Craft District, and one of Duluth’s most iconic parks, all nestled around beautiful Miller Creek. Lincoln Park houses many features that serve the entire Duluth community: Western Lake Superior Sanitary District, the coal docks, the port, and numerous industrial operations.

Despite all this hustle and bustle, Lincoln Park has historically been a disinvested area, both in the commercial district and in the residential areas. Ecolibrium3 is proud to join local efforts to rewrite the narrative of Lincoln Park by working alongside residents and community partners to invest in building a thriving community. We have been a part of these efforts for over a decade, and we are grateful to call Lincoln Park our home.

As our home base, Lincoln Park inspires and guides our work, which includes food access, home energy, AmeriCorps VISTA, equitable transportation, and more. We aim to ensure Lincoln Park maintains a thriving commercial district and a healthy community. Together we can sustain a neighborhood that is a great place to live, work, and play.

Lincoln Park is one of the most historic and diverse neighborhoods in Duluth. Residents enjoy its walkability, easy access to bike trails and public transit, and many outdoor spaces. The area is also home to one of the oldest parks in town, which has been open for over 100 years. Ecolibrium3’s work in Lincoln Park aims to strengthen and celebrate the district by fostering partnerships, bringing in state and federal investments, hosting community events, and providing community services.

We also work with Lincoln Park residents on community projects. Residents helped design the Lincoln Park Solar Garden, give feedback that shapes our food systems work, and participate in transportation, health, and resilience planning. Along with neighbors from all over Duluth, also Lincoln Park residents come out to clean the neighborhood every spring for Earth Day. Lincoln Park is a beautiful and connected place to live!

Lincoln Park Reopening

We work with our neighbors to promote economic development for the creation of a thriving commercial district. The Lincoln Park Craft District is part of Main Street Lincoln Park, an accredited Main Street America program since 2021. Through the Main Street program, we provide technical assistance and capacity building for businesses in the district through marketing, grant writing, promotional materials, resource information, and more. We have made over $50,000 in grant funding available to local entrepreneurs since 2021.

All Lincoln Park business and property owners are invited to join our monthly Main Street meetings and help us foster key partnerships for the success of our unique and evolving Lincoln Park business community. Main Street meetings take place once a month at the Lincoln Park Community Center, which houses the Ecolibrium3 office.
