Final construction at LNPK Grocery is underway! We currently have contractors on-site, working to advance our project. There are a number of things that will be done in the building during this last phase.
Openings to the neighboring businesses, a remnant of the building’s past when it served as an indoor walkway for the business district, have been filled in with fire-blocking masonry to meet code requirements. The construction team is also building a bathroom and office. Plumbers are bringing the water and sewer into the bathroom and installing sprinklers in the basement. The pavers have been reset at the back entrance to ensure our store is accessible for everyone. Lastly, we are prepping for utility upgrades and wiring the building to meet the demand from the refrigerators and freezers and setting up lighting, internet, and security.
After construction, we will need to fully clean the construction dust on all surfaces, including the ceiling. Then we can start to set up the store’s shelves, counters, and displays.
