Fresh Walls for Fresh Food: What’s New at LNPK Grocery

LNPK Grocery has seen major progress in the last few weeks. We are taking steps to make sure everyone is comfortable shopping at LNPK Grocery. We have been building out walls for the interior space, and those walls have now received drywall! Other construction has also been picking up speed: outlets have been mapped, and new HVAC systems have been installed!

At this stage in construction, we are taking the steps to make sure our customers feel comfortable shopping at our store and that we deliver on our electrical needs. We have considered the location of the new security system to plan where outlets would be needed. We have been coordinating with the construction manager and the electrician to discuss where outlets will need to be located for the refrigeration bays and the point of sale system near the checkout. While this was being mapped out, the store got new ductwork installed!

We are a few steps closer to delivering an accessible grocery store to the Lincoln Park neighborhood. Lincoln Park deserves fresh, healthy, and accessible food. Here at Ecolibrium3, it’s our mission to make that a reality. Between our Urban Farm and the new aisles at the grocery store, we are taking steps to end the food desert that is Lincoln Park.

Stay tuned for the next update, which will be centered around the cleaning of the store, post-construction, as we begin to map out where our aisles will go.
