We are excited to welcome two new members to our Energy Training Corps (ETC) program! The ETC is an AmeriCorps program designed to equip members with robust training and energy industry; however, over time, the program has evolved to include a food access component. Our two new members, Cider and Grant, will be working on the food access side of this program.
Grant joins Ecolibrium3 as a Crew Member for the Energy Training Corps. He is joining us from Roseville, MN, but he has spent the last year working in outdoor ministry in the Boundary Waters and surrounding areas. During his time in Northern Minnesota, he developed the desire to move to Duluth. In 2024, he graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with a degree in Architecture. With his background in architecture, he is very curious about the Architecture of Duluth. He is also compelled by the unique landscape of Duluth and the North Shore, as he likes to hike and camp. During his time in Duluth, he hopes to help Duluth and Lincoln Park thrive.
Cider joins the Eco3 Energy Training Corps as a Farm Crew Member. They grew up in Duluth and have spent the past several years working on farms, learning new skills and crafts (such as herding sheep and sailing), building community, and falling more and more in love with the Lake Superior region. In their free time, they like to hang out and go for hikes with their dog, forage for edible plants and mushrooms, carve wooden spoons, play the guitar, and cook delicious meals for their friends.
Thank you to Cider and Grant for joining our program! We are still looking for new members to join us. Learn more about the Energy Training Corps. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis; applications can be submitted at my.americorps.gov.
