AmeriCorps Legacy House: Getting Ready for Rental

Since our last Legacy House update on the City of Duluth removed the house’s condemned status, we just keep truckin’ on. Through continued collaboration with our partners, we have passed our final inspection and received a certificate of occupancy!

Drywall Is Installed at LNPK Grocery!

LNPK Grocery has seen major progress in the last few weeks. We’ve got fresh walls for fresh food, and we are taking steps to make sure everyone is comfortable shopping at LNPK Grocery. Our store’s transformation has been picking up speed: outlets have been mapped, drywall has been hung, and new HVAC systems have been installed!

For fourteen years, Eco3 has been working to strengthen connections, support community-led initiatives, and build resources that make our neighborhood and community stronger. LNPK Grocery Construction Update

Final construction at LNPK Grocery is underway! We currently have contractors on-site, working to advance our project. There are a number of things that will be done in the building during this last phase.

Welcome Georgia, Director of Aging Initiatives

In the newly established role of Director of Aging Initiatives, Georgia Lane brings 20+ years of leadership in the aging services sector. As Director of Aging Initiatives, Georgia will guide and strengthen current Duluth Age-Friendly projects and programs.

At the future grocery store site, otherwise known as the old Eco3 office at 2014 W Superior St, we replaced the leaking roof, tore out the old water-stained ceiling, and removed the non-functioning HVAC system.

Why Now Is the Perfect Time to Serve in the Energy Training Corps

The goals of the program are to train members to conduct home energy assessments, perform home energy improvements, and complete the much-needed work to improve the efficiency of Duluth’s aging housing stock. Now is the time to join the Energy Training Corps, as energy jobs in Minnesota are booming.

Ending the 2025 Season at the Eco3 Urban Farm

Fall marks the end of another great season at the Eco3 Urban Farm. As the team works to clear fields, compost the last remnants of produce in the ground, and tend to tools before frost settles in and snow follows, we can now appreciate everything the farm crew accomplished this summer.
