Generations Health Care Initiatives

The Generations Health Care Initiatives formulates the Bridge to Health Survey which is distributed every five years throughout northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. A collaborative effort of multiple local organizations representing public health, the survey gathers data on health conditions, lifestyle factors, utilization of health screenings, and access to physical, mental, and dental healthcare.

The purpose of the survey is to provide information that will enable organizations and communities to better understand the health of their community and guide intervention strategies and community planning. Physical health data from the report can help inform Duluth’s climate action planning. For example, guiding the community to implement transportation options that encourage active transportation and its related health benefits, or to better assess and mitigate the health impacts of air pollution.
